NFFS seeks Director of Workforce Development

The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society (NFFS) is seeking a passionate and driven individual to serve as a Network Coach for our participation within the Navy Talent Pipeline Program (TPP). This mission-critical role directly supports the defense of our country by helping foundries nationwide develop sustainable workforce solutions. As our Network Coach, you will be the primary point of contact for NFFS member foundries, guiding them through the TPP process, and helping them strengthen their talent acquisition and retention practices.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity available starting October 1, 2024, and requires up to 30% travel to support TPP adoption within employer facilities and attend NFFS events. Salary range of $60,000 - $80,000/year based upon skills and experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Employer Partner Engagement: Serve as the single point of contact for assigned foundries, providing continuous support and guidance.
  • Employer Support and Coaching: Initiate the "help chain" when employers need assistance. Provide training, coaching, and tools to improve their Talent Acquisition & Retention (TA&R) systems.
  • Conduct Monthly Employer Engagement Meetings: Maintain regular communication with employers to track progress and provide ongoing support.
  • Performance and Tool Assessment: Oversee the implementation of TA&R tools, assess performance, and provide feedback.
  • Facilitate On-Site Visits and Networking Events: Organize logistics for site visits and networking events, ensuring professionalism.
  • Track Progress and Report: Maintain regular reporting to the Executive Director, track milestones, and update the scorecard.
  • Collaborate on Major Milestones: Support Executive Director with planning, execution, and after-action reviews of key TPP events.

  • Should have a basic understanding of manufacturing practices such as metal casting, forging, and machining.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong public speaking abilities.
  • Prior experience in workforce development, project management, or leadership in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
