NFFS Member Metcovery II Joins National Consortium for Industrial Decarbonization
NFFS member Metcovery II has reached a significant milestone in the pursuit of a more sustainable foundry industry. The company is officially joining the newly established National Consortium for the Decarbonization of the Metals Industry, a groundbreaking initiative led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
As one of three national lab-led projects selected to receive funding under the DOE’s $18.6 million Industrial Decarbonization Lab Call, this consortium will play a key role in developing best practices, standards, and tools to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon technologies in the metals industry.
