Earlier this month, NFFS staff members Jerrod Weaver, Executive Director, and Matt Gilmore, Director of Business Development, participated as guests on an episode of The Manufacturing Culture Podcast to speak about NFFS and workplace culture in the foundry industry. Always glad to "talk shop" with fellow manufacturers, Jerrod and Matt were pleased to share the world of foundries and castings with a wider manufacturing audience. Over the course of the 60-minute episode, they delved into a diverse series of topics including the history of NFFS, what the Society offers to its members, workforce development and culture in the foundry industry, and how the Society's unique Integrated Casting Order Network (ICON) program helps foundries and machine shops find business opportunities with the U.S. Department of Defense.
