NFFS Executive Director celebrates 28 years with NFFS
The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Jerrod Weaver, recently celebrated his 28th anniversary as a NFFS employee.
Jerrod was hired on March 14, 1996, as the Society's Quality Services Manager. He was responsible for the management of the Society’s NQS9000 program, an ISO9001 compliance program developed specifically for foundries. In this role, Mr. Weaver directly assisted more than 150 foundries with implementation of a Quality Management System by providing technical assistance and training in ISO9001 requirements.
Jerrod was promoted to Director of Education and Training in 2005, where his responsibilities were expanded to include management of the Society’s Environmental Health & Safety programs. He also applied for and obtained seven different OSHA Harwood grants to develop safety programs designed specifically for non-ferrous foundries.
In 2010, Jerrod earned the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from the American Society of Association Executives. The CAE credential is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to managing an association in today’s challenging environment. Fewer than 15% of association executives have achieved the CAE designation.
Jerrod was promoted to Executive Director of NFFS in January 2016. Over the past eight years, some of his many achievements have included the development of a new team of Society staff, an overhaul of the Society accounting functions, and reinvigorating the NFFS operating committees. In addition, he led the Society through a successful renewal of the government contract that funds the ICON program, and developed a wide suite of membership programs and benefits including the Air Sampling Equipment Program and an expanded schedule of regional and executive meetings.
NFFS would like to congratulate Jerrod on his 28 year anniversary and wish him the best in his ongoing role as leader of our Society.
