keyboard with blue key reading MembershipAfter careful consideration by the Finance Committee, Membership Committee, and Board of Directors, the Non-Ferrous Founders' Society has announced that it will implement a revised membership dues structure effective July 1st. As before, the new structure will be based on Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employees across all company locations. However, the number of tiers has been reduced, and the dues rates have been revised as follows:

Membership Dues Schedule Effective July 1, 2024

Foundries -

  • 1-10 employees: $1,200/year
  • 11-50 employees: $2,400/year
  • 51+ employees: $3,600/year

Associate Members (Suppliers) - $1,800/year

These adjustments have been carefully designed to create a more equitable distribution of dues, ensuring that the cost of membership reflects the benefits and services provided at each level and provides the Society with a sustainable model for the future. The Society has not revised or raised its membership dues since 2012, and since that time, price inflation has impacted our operational costs and the value of the services we provide. To continue delivering high-quality services and support to our members, we must align our dues structure with the current economic climate.

In addition to managing the effect of inflation, NFFS has continued to build and expand our programs and services to better serve our members. Some of the new initiatives over the last 5 years include:

  • The Crucible E-Newsletter: Weekly newsletter with critical NFFS and industry news
  • NFFS Economic Portal: Economic data portal for non-ferrous foundries
  • Air Sampling Equipment Program: Free air sampling equipment and support
  • Foundry Safety Audit Program: In-plant safety audit & documentation review
  • NFFS Academy: On-demand online technical training programs
  • Foundry Automation and Integration Working Group (FAIR) – A group focused on development and implementation of automation technologies in the foundry
  • Industry networking events: ]Regional networking events to provide opportunities for networking and engaging with other industry leaders
  • New and Improved Affinity Programs: The new TFWW and Estes shipping programs provide discounts and special services for NFFS members

NFFS will also be announcing a new health insurance program later this summer, which is designed to provide members with comprehensive and affordable health coverage options, and the Society is actively working on identifying solutions for the property and casualty insurance challenges that many foundries face in our industry.
