It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Rik Kohn (Robert I. Kohn, Jr.), a respected figure in the nonferrous foundry industry, who died suddenly on February 24, 2025, while skiing in Colorado. He was 76 years old.
Rik spent over 35 years at The Federal Metal Company, where he built lasting relationships and made significant contributions to the nonferrous metals sector. His passion for the industry was matched only by his commitment to community service and his deep love for family and friends.
Memorial services were held on Friday, February 28, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Friends who wish may contribute in Rik’s memory to the American Jewish Committee or The Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
