The mission of AMC is to support DLA in procuring high quality, cost effective metal castings for the U.S. military to ensure warfighter readiness.

Last week, Non-Ferrous Founders' Society's Director of ICON Operations, Sheila, Rayburn, presented to U.S. government representatives and fellow AMC members at the 2024 AMC Technology Review about the continued expansion and enhancement of the Society's Integrated Casting Order Network (ICON) program, an online portal that connects foundries to business opportunities for the Department of Defense. The presentation outlined the progress of ICON's latest contract developments, including the transition to a new product development vendor, the completion of five system releases covering 242 issues and requirements, and the completion of twelve real-time online group training sessions for industry users.
