NFFS bylaws amendments proposed

Posted By: Erin Russell NFFS,

On October 24, 2024, the NFFS Board of Directors unanimously approved a proposed revision to the Society’s bylaws. The proposed updates reflect our commitment to keeping the Society’s governance practices aligned with modern business operations, supporting non-ferrous foundries through evolving industry challenges. Key changes in the update include provisions for enhanced collaboration with government agencies and other industries to strengthen supply chain sustainability and streamline procurement processes, as well as updates to our Society financial oversight practices, ensuring greater transparency and independence.

These revisions are essential to ensure that NFFS remains responsive to the needs of members and the broader non-ferrous casting industry. The updates will empower the Society to be more flexible and creative in addressing emerging opportunities and regulatory changes while preserving our focus on non-ferrous foundry operations. NFFS members will receive a letter regarding the proposed bylaws revisions in December 2024, and will have the opportunity to vote on their final adoption during the NFFS annual meeting to be held during the NFFS 2025 Industry Executive Conference.
